Which MinistryPlatform Edition is Right for My Church?

Are you unsure whether a particular MinistryPlatform edition is right for your church?  Maybe it is time to switch editions? Each MinistryPlatform Edition was designed for a specific scenario. All of our editions include the following software applications:

  • Platform
  • Check-in
  • Portal
  • Batch Manager
  • Cloud Tools
  • MP Mobile

 

There are two key differences between the editions. Just ask yourself two questions:

  1. Where do I want the Platform to be hosted?
  2. Does my church want the ability to extend the platform with our partners, volunteers, and/or staff or will we be happy to leverage Think Ministry and their partners when we want a customization?

 

Shared Cloud is for churches who:

  • Want a turn-key solution (no IT people needed)
  • Plan to use our professional services and our partners to extend MinistryPlatform
  • Want to share hosting & maintenance costs with other churches

 

Dedicated Cloud is for churches who:

  • Also want a turn-key solution (no IT people needed)
  • Want their data on servers in the Cloud licensed exclusively for their use
  • Want to obtain a perpetual use license giving them the option to extend MinistryPlatform using their team or their partners.

 

Self Hosted Edition is for churches who:

  • Want to keep MinistryPlatform on premises or have it hosted by their IT partner
  • Wish to obtain a perpetual use license giving them the option to extend MinistryPlatform using their team or their partners.
  • Can afford to pay their own Infrastructure and hosting costs
