Basics

• The Congregation a Household is attending is listed on that Household's record in MinistryPlatform. This is because it is expected that a family worships together.
• The Congregation of the Household does not limit which Groups or Events the members of that Household might attend. Therefore, it is possible for an individual to worship at one Congregation and belong to a Group or an Event sponsored by another Congregation.

Updating a Household's Congregation

The Congregation the Household is attending can be edited by opening the Household record on the Households page in MinistryPlatform. Many applications also allow the user to update or set the Congregation a Household is attending. This allows for changing the Congregation when a change is needed for a specific record. These applications include:

• Check-in
• Portal
• Add/Edit Family Tool 
• My Household Widget

1. Go to the Households Page.
2. Use the view titled "Review Last Congregation".
3. Select any households whose current congregation does not match where they are currently involved.
4. Use the Assign tool to change the Congregation the Households are associated with.
