Modify Deposits

Editing a Deposit

If a Deposit needs to be edited, please refer to the Making Corrections article to determine the appropriate approach.

Un-Processing a Deposit

In rare cases, here's how you can correct a Deposit that was erroneously marked as Exported:
  1. Go to Stewardship > Deposits> open the Deposit record.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Change the Exported bit field to False.
  4. If there is an Account Number, change to 0.
  5. Click Save.
Note: This should only be done when it is clear that the Deposit was marked as Exported erroneously. Changing this field might make it possible to export the Deposit details to your accounting system again and duplicate entries there.

Un-Doing a Deposit

Here is how you can correct Batches erroneously deposited together:
Note: This should only be done if the Deposit has not been exported. If the Deposit has been exported and there is a GL impact, see this article for making GL corrections.
  1. Go to Stewardship > Deposits > open the Deposit record
  2. Select the Batches in the Batch subpage
  3. XFer the Batches to the Batches page
  4. Click "Assign"
  5. Select the Deposit field and select "Clear"
  6. Save
  7. Your Batches are now waiting to be deposited again. Deposit and process as normal.
  8. The empty Deposit (Stewardship > Deposits > "Empty Deposits" view) can be deleted. Note: there should be NO dependent records in the delete dialogue. If there are, double check that all Batches have been removed.
