MobileTools Configuration Settings

Email Settings

The following settings may be edited in the platform Configuration Settings or using the MobileTools Admin page. Making these edits in the MobileTools application will cause them to become effective immediately.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailMode
MobileTools Email Settings. Valid options are SMTP, Mandrill or SendGrid. For SendGrid, just use SMTP with the appropriate values.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailUserName
MobileTools Email Username. For SendGrid, this will be "apikey"

MOBILETOOLS,EmailPassword
MobileTools Email Account Password. For SendGrid, this will be the api key.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailServer
MobileTools Email Configuration. Use the dns name or ip address of your email server.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailServerPort
MobileTools Email Server Port. If not set, the application will default to port 25.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailDomain
Defines the sending email domain for the Email Server. Any email sent with this domain will not be sent from the EmailProxyFrom value. For example, email addresses are all in the form "joe@universalchurch.org" would use the domain "universalchurch.org" in this field. Leave this blank to NOT use the proxy.

MOBILETOOLS,EmailProxyFrom
Defines the from email to be used when the sender is not on EmailDomain. This allows other domains to send email through your domain. This address will be used in the FROM field and the actual sender. The original email address will be used for the reply-to field of the email.

Other Settings

The following tools are editable in the platform Configuration Settings.

MOBILETOOLS,AllowGroupDiscussion
Controls whether or not Group Discussions are enabled. The default is false. Note: This relates to possible future enhancements and is not a current function of MobileTools.

MOBILETOOLS,AllowGroupEventCreation
Controls whether or not Group Leaders can create events. If this is turned off then group leaders must use existing events to post attendance to. The default is true.

MOBILETOOLS,AllowGroupMemberAccess
Controls whether or not Group Members can login. The default is true. Note: This relates to possible future enhancements and is not a current function of MobileTools.

MOBILETOOLS,CareSupervisorRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to all supervisor access to Care Cases. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,CareWorkerRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to allow access as a Worker to Care Cases. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,DefaultGroupRoleID
This controls the Group Role assigned to a person when they are added to a Group from the Group Manager page of MobileTools. This will only apply if they are not already in the Group. This should not be a leader role.

MOBILETOOLS,DemographicsDashboardID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control who can access the Demographics Dashboard. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,GivingDashboardID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control who can access the Giving Dashboard. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,GlobalFileRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control access to the Global Files. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,GroupManagerRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control who has access to Group Management Functions. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,LargeGroupManagerRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control who has access to Large Group Management Functions. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,MobileAdminID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control who has administrative rights. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,MobileToolsSchemaVersion
This is used internally by MobileTools to make sure you have the right database schema for any updates that will be applied.

MOBILETOOLS,NoShowContactStatuses
This comma seperated list of values are the Contact Status IDs that will be hidden from the MobileTools Interface. This commonly contains the deceased status ID.

MOBILETOOLS,PersonLookupRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control access to the person lookup tool. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,PrayerSupervisorRoleID
Security Role used by MobileTools to control supervisor access to the Prayer section. Not recommended to modify.

MOBILETOOLS,TwilioAccountSid
Twilio Account SID - used to authenticate and send text messages.

MOBILETOOLS,TwilioAuthToken
Twilio Auth Token - used to authenticate and send text messages.

MOBILETOOLS,TwilioDefaultNumber
Twilio phone to use for sending text messages. Numbers only, no formatting.

MOBILETOOLS,UpdateFeedUrl
DO NOT MODIFY - This is used by MobileTools to look for updates. Changing this value will prevent MobileTools from Updating.

MOBILETOOLS,UpdateRepository
DO NOT MODIFY - This is used by MobileTools to look for updates. Changing this value will prevent MobileTools from Updating.
