Online Giving (online_giving.aspx / online_donations.aspx (AsiaPay only))
- All designations assigned to your 'church-wide activities' (catch-all) congregation will now display on every congregation's drop-down list.
Online Church Directory (my_directory.aspx) - Documentation
- To use this directory, confirm that the Portal web.config key "UseOnlineDirectory" is set to value="true"
- Directory requires the Portal user to be authenticated (logged in)
- The ability to access Directory content is managed through the Church's "group participant" types. Each participant type has two new options: "Can Access Directory" and "Show In Directory". The first value dictates who can see directory content. The second value indicates who will be displayed in the Church directory.
- Users can manage what information is displayed via their user account page (my_user_account.aspx)
- Added new directory template tokens that allow several additional fields to be accessed
- Directory sorts by name, DOB, city, state
- Users without approved Participant Types will be notified that they do not have access to the directory
- Added a unique CSS selector for the Rolodex
My Groups (my_groups.aspx) - Documentation
- All group members can click a new "view members" button to see a list of all group members and contact information
- Group leaders can add and remove group members via the "view members" button (the authenticated user must be a group leader)
- Add any contact that already exists in the MinistryPlatform database
- Remove any group member
- Approve/deny requests to join the group (via group finder)
- Group leaders can edit the role (job) of any group member
- Whenever attendance is recorded (either individually or via the leader's roster selection), the group participant ID is correctly recorded.
- Date navigation issues have been corrected
- The primary contact of the group is displayed as a group leader if they are not otherwise assigned as a group leader or member. They also have access to the group as if they were a member.
Group Finder (group_finder.aspx) - Documentation
- Anyone can now sign up for a group via the group finder. When they choose a group from their search results, the button "Sign Up for this Group" appears. The user is required to authenticate before signing up. Once sign-up is complete, a group leader will be required to approve or deny the user's request to be added to each group before the user can see any group details.
User Accounts (my_user_account.aspx) - Documentation
- Users can control what pieces of data are visible in the directory via checkboxes (the web.config value 'UseOnlineDirectory' must be set to TRUE or the checkboxes will not display).
- Users can opt out of the directory entirely.
- If the user has a Household Type "Head of Household", they are now able to edit any family member's contact information and change their password.
- Users can no longer put the strings "&" or " and " into the First Name field when creating a new user account.
- If a user changes their password they will receive an e-mail notification of this change to the e-mail address on file.
- When a person receives an invitation to create their User Account via the New Message tool in MinistryPlatform, the subsequent web page text with instructions has been relocated to a more prominent location on the page.
- If a user sits too long on this page without actions, they are gracefully logged out instead of presented with an IIS error screen.
My Mission Trips (my_mission_trips.aspx) - Documentation
- If the user has no current mission trips, they will see a notification to that effect on the screen.
- A church may choose to hide the donation amounts for all users via a new web.config parameter (see Documentation, bottom of the page).
My Giving History (my_giving_history.aspx)
- When a user cancels a recurring gift via the Portal, all future gift records are now properly removed from MinistryPlatform.
