In MinistryPlatform, a Contact is either a person or a company. Every person you want to track in MinistryPlatform must have a Contact record. Those who attend church events and join groups also become Participants. Those who make Donations become Donors. Those who log into your website become Users. Participants, Donors, and Users all have separate records that link back to the Contact.
