Build Views for Longevity

As you build views, especially views that are on main pages that all of your users will be able to see and use, the following are helpful:

• Your church terminology and staff will eventually change. It is helpful to use specific values in your views instead of text. For example: Use the Ministry ID instead of the Ministry Name.  
• Ensure you provide a good description of what the view does. This will help others to know who uses it and why. If applicable, include the name of a Procedure (Staff Stuff section) that gives more information.
• Create a procedure that includes the following:
  • Who uses the view
  • Why they use the view
  • Other steps that need to happen as a result of what is in the view
  • A direct link to the view
