The Group/Room Attended routine updates the historical Event Participant (Attendance) record with the Group_ID and Room_ID values when those values are empty. Some applications that post attendance may update those values as attendance is posted. However, in the event that we know the group of the event attendee adding these values when possible provides a useful historical reference that can be easily be inferred from the existing data, but might change over time.
