This release includes a host of enhancements and fixes to make the Next Generation of the Platform even better—especially related to texting. This is a big update, so we strongly recommend clearing your browser's
cache as the changes are better enjoyed if you log in with a fresh start! Just think of it as an easy-to-complete spring cleaning task. ;)
Records
- Added field helps to multiple fields in the Platform. Simply hover over the field name to see a helpful use tip!
- Added a "User Group" field to the Outbound SMS Number table to facilitate granting access to numbers within the New Message Tool.
- Added a "Checked In, Not In Compliance" view to the Group Participants Page to identify Group Participants who checked in within the past seven days that were not compliant based on Participant Requirements.
- Enhanced the "Addresses Not in Use" view on the Addresses page to exclude addresses being used as Household Alternate Addresses.
- Enhanced Record Facts to make viewing Events on mobile even easier!
- Fixed an issue where cleared selections persisted when the clear selection option was tapped.
- Fixed an issue where Record Facts did not recognize capacity over 100%, causing the Record Fact pill to appear empty.
- Fixed an issue where dates were reset to 01/01/0001 in the Copy Event Recurrence dialogue.
- Fixed an issue where Users were unable to update non-body fields on the Templates page.
- Fixed an issue where including a space after the first or last name when creating a User Account created a new (often duplicate) contact.
- Fixed an issue where the Record Description was not appearing in the query string URL.
- Fixed an issue where scrolling in the Delete Dialogue reset all selections to Delete All.
- Fixed an issue where selecting Reassign All in the Delete Dialog only selected visible fields.
- Fixed an issue where clicking on the Reassign All header when using the delete dialogue disabled the "Reassign Records to" drop down.
- Fixed an issue on the Participation Compliance page that was not honoring the Global Filter.
User Interface & Navigation
- Enhanced Calendar panel preferences to be sticky so the User can navigate away from the page and return to the same, preferred layout.
- Enhanced records to prompt Users to save their work on tabs other than the General tab before navigating to other pages. #saveearlyandoften
- Added a "Hide from Online Directory" option to the OAuth profile. When checked, the "Remove from Directory" field on the Contact record will be set to yes.
- Updated the Review Last Congregation view on the Households page to show Households with activity in the past ten days.
- Updated the Group dropdown on the Event Metrics page to only display Groups associated with the Event via Rooms & Groups.
- Refined Calendar Layout to display additional information on the
month scale. Pro tip: If you haven't fallen in love with the agenda scale yet, check it out. But be prepared to have a new favorite way to visualize Events.
- Hid the "End Seasonal Alternate Address Settings" header on the Households page via Field Management.
- Hid the "Check-In Information" header on the Groups page via Field Management.
- Hid the "Body Data" field on the Templates page via Field Management.
- Hid the "Mail Chimp Sync" section header on the Publications page via Field Management.
- Fixed an issue where using Add on the Rooms & Groups tab only allowed a User to add one room at a time.
Home Page
- Fixed an issue when retrieving a "Sent," "Archived," "My drafts," or "Ready to Send" message resulted in an error.
- Fixed an issue where the Contact Field appeared in the subject line, despite the cursor being in the body of the new message when using Firefox.
Texting
- *NEW* Outbound SMS Numbers can now be assigned to a User Group to limit the Users who are granted access to a particular phone number within the New Message Tool.
- *NEW* Item Notifications can now be sent via text.
- Enhanced sending a Text Message via the New Message tool to support attaching vCards.
- Enhanced Texting so that if Recipients reply to a text message an opt-out keyword ("Stop," "Stopall," "Unsubscribe," "Cancel," "End," or "Quit"), the Do Not Text field on their Contact record will be updated to True.
- Enhanced Texting so that if Recipients reply to a text message an opt-in keyword ("Start," "Yes," or "Unstop"), the Do Not Text field on their Contact record will be cleared.
Important: Opt out and opt in messages are ONLY recorded in the Platform if you set up inbound messages. See

information on adding the necessary webhook so your audience is able to opt out.
Searching
- Fixed an issue where the New Record button did not appear within a pick-list when using column search.
Export
- Fixed an issue where exporting Groups with meeting times displayed the time in military time.
API
Please Note: Beginning with the Platform // September 2021 release, new releases (including this one), will be designed for the next generation of the Platform. While there are some exceptions (hello, multi-factor authentication!), new features will not be available in Legacy. But never fear, we'll make
sure we don't break anything in Legacy with all the next generation excitement ;).
